Boot Camp


Our evening class program is a "fun" fitness boot camp.  Not "in your face" and no intimidation. 

We treat all our participants with respect and challenge them while encouraging team spirit.

We always start with a dynamic warm up, followed with cardio and strength training exercises using body resistance/hand weights and stretching at the end of each class.  You will strengthen your core with a variation of planks/abdominal exercises, slim and tone your buns/thighs with squats/lunges, and define your arms/upper body for tank top season by doing a variation of push ups. We sometimes use benches, parking blocks, fences, bike racks, steps, curbs, side walks, hills or whatever is around us at the park that we can incorporate into a drill whenever necessary.  We also  incorporate Tabata and High Intensity Interval Training(HIIT).


What to bring to all classes:

Ladies - will need a set of 3 lbs and 5 lb weights to start off with.  If you are advanced with strength training, you may want to bring 8-10 lbs weights too.

Gentlemen - you will need 5, 10 and 12 lbs weights-depending on your experience.

You will need to bring to every class a rubber yoga mat, drinking water,  hand towel, wear comfortable clothing and running shoes.  

There are no outdoor washroom facilities, so please empty the bladder before you arrive.  

Have outdoor allergies (bees)?  It is wise to bring along with you your Epi Pen, bug repellent and wear sunscreen/hat.
